Tansyk Mazhitova is participant of many foreign, republican, regional artistic exhibitions. Her works decorate collections of museums in our country as well as private collections abroad. Last years she experienced organization of personal exhibitions where the artist gave masterclasses. Being able to work in different stylistic conceptions she belongs to that direction of Kazakh art which revives through reflecting its classical traditions. She is strongly gifted in two types of art which she prefers most of all, it's painting and batik: intuition of oramentality of color's delicate nuance and expressiveness of plastic line, awareness of psychological fullness, color plastics of energetic stroke through which human's character and being are defined.

T. Mazhitova began her career path as the artist continuing traditions of Russian postsezanizm. She has created portraits, still lives, landscapes differing in special abundance and depth of color, expressive plastic solution when exactly color lying with short and energetic stroke models scope, forms spacial relations. The most important peculiarities of artist's talent are demonstrated in portrait: it's not of great importance to depict facial features for her, but the most important is to reveal character, to see human's development perspectives. Namely under external statics of traditional composition it's easy to understand emotional dynamics of person's character formation and fate. In her recent portraits she declined effective sezanist modeling preferring long elastic stroke which organizes plastics in neutral space. Emotionally vivid her portraits are psychologically persuasive, adequate to a person, they reflect the inner world emphasizing the main characteristics of an individual.

In artistic compositions especially in portraits she has shown the artist's temperament: with short, wide or long plastic strokes she decisively and in a straight-out manner depicts the scope of head and plastics of face. Nothing prevents it from understanding: composition is simple as always, background is neutral. Under external statics portraits of Mazhitova are internally dynamic. Individual traits of human are fully presented. The artist is able to convey traits of human character which are unknown even to him. Namely through the ability to see the human, by entering the deepest corners of his spiritual being we can easily see other aspect of her talent: everlasting careful attitude to everything what is encountered on her way, trembling attention and love to every display of life. Inspired daring and everlasting tenderness are always present in Tansyk's works as well as in herself who is still shy and fighting childhood inconfidence.

Since 2000 the artist often uses batik. Here she prefers animalistics. Although it is difficult to refer her glamorous-elegant works to the genre of simple rectilinear depiction of animals. And psychological abundance of depiction is important for her as well as in portrait: images of animals serve as personification of purely humane feelings as tenderness, compassion, joy and triumph. The beauty of animals inspires her to create lyrical compositions full of love to nature. Measure of style chosen by T. Mazhitova let us recognize natural shapes and also emphasizes their special ornamentality. Soft coloring, delicate play of colors symbolize the feeling of harmony and quiet self-sufficiency of natural life.

Tansyk Mazhitova — is one of the outstanding representatives of modern art in Kazakhstan. Some aspects of her career path are similar with that of other modern artists and in some ways she has some individualistic features.
